Show off you're favorite WWII helmet in you're collection! Make a video of it and tell us about it and post a video as a response to this video. Heres a video of my favorite WWII helmet in my collection. It's a WWII Fixed bale helmet with a rare and scare early Hood Rubber manufactured helmet liner. There were only about 206,000 Hood Rubber liners made, may seem like a lot but compare that to the 13,000,000 liners Westinghouse made!! My helmet is in VERY nice condition and all complete. The helmet is also named to a soldier and has a 2nd LT. bar on the liner. By far my most favorite helmet in my collection! Hood Rubber liners go from $200+ and a simular liner AND shell sold on ebay for $660.000 not too longg ago. SO post a video of you're favorite WWII helmet and show it off!!

  • can a original ww2 helmet liner not have a nape strap

  • @infantryfilms2nd Yeah it can. The nape strap is just an aditional strap for neck support. All liners came with a nape strap when they were issued and made. Some liners today have missing nape straps and some are still intact. They go for about $20 in nice shape. But yeah you can definately have an original liner that has a missing nape strap.

  • @WWIIAustrailianTroop it also doesnt have a thing to attach it either so ya?

  • @infantryfilms2nd Then its mayeb a Vietnam helmet liner. Vietnam liners didnt have nape straps. Can youi send me a picture?

  • how much was it

  • @infantryfilms2nd $20. There was one that just sold on ebay for $801

  • seriously nice helmet dude! i'll get around to doing a video of my fave 1 of these days. i call it my "d-day" helmet as it was worn during the 3rd wave and later on during the bulge by 1st lt william lewis gray of the 1257th combat eng. its got a lt. bar on the front and remnants of a black castle on the right side above the bale. the crown is scorched black from cooking and there are several tent pole sized dents on the top. it was a grad gift from his daughter (my teacher)

  • @WWIIAustrailianTroop the high pressure liners arent fiberglass, they're "phenolic resin" soaked canvas preforms molded into shape via high pressure and heat

  • @BlitzKreigFilms please dont refinish it!!!!!!!!! marked m-1s are uncommon. it should be left as it is. get a cheap foriegn made clone or something. or better yet trade it to me for a poor condition ww2 shell and have that refinished

  • sthalhelm is best

  • Hi I just started collecting military items and I don't have many:( DO you have any tips on where to find cheap helmets in mint condition? I only have 1 Russian Military officer hat from the 80's and I have a British, or Australian Air Raid Warden helmet, And I recently got a Swedish M24 Helmet for $20.00. Any tips? I really like this hobby but i don't want to buy online, and I don't want to spend way too much money! I really want an American M1 Pot Helmet! But everywhere I look they r expensive
