  • You mean well with your point, but we can't completely blame advertising for obesity. If childhood obesity tends to start at the toddler stage, who is making that toddler's diet decisions? I've hardly ever seen a 2 year old prepare their own dinner, or go shopping at the supermarket. Their parents are the ones who are doing this. Their parents are the ones who won't take the time to make them a healthy meal and won't take it into their own hands to educate their children about proper diet.

  • @milkjamjuice I agree with you. Parents do overall buy, and cook the food they feed their children. Advertising does still impact children in their food choices. When a child sees a cartoon character eating the colorful cearl, for example, when they go grocery shopping with their mom later they ask for the cereal or point it out and cry when they don't get it. All I am trying to say is overall food advertising towards children is for foods that are high in sugar and usually fattening.
