Not having paid much attention to Country Music, I was unaware of Vern Gosdin, till I heard him on the radio recently, by chance, singing a Christmas song. What "a voice," and "the voice" is truly deserved for him. Thank you for this retrospective of his life and contribution! Truly!

It's a little late in coming but here it is in the last word in the first line is (lost) and the word in the second line of the chorus is "he rose from the ashes where he lay

I love country music and I love gospel music. This song is one of my favorites because it blends the two effectively.

It's G-O-S-D-I-N, not G-O-S-D-E-N, right? It's a beautiful song that needs and deserves to be heard. As is, it won't show up in response to a GOSDIN search. I'm a big fan of Mr. Gosdin, but I'd never heard it before and I'm not sure how I got to it on here. I bet there'd be a lot more than 35,000 hits if the name were correct.
