Yeah, that upholestry shop is ripping people off big time. I wouldn't even deal with them anymore. Don't trust them! Your customers need to file in court and try to get money back. I am proud of you for attempting to stick up for your customers. The customers ALWAYS need to get a written estimate before work begins. By doing this, they can take that to court when the prices go through the ceiling and hopefully the judge will see through it all. Whatever happened in that case?

Damn I'm moving to Texas! My boss bid 3 seats at under $1,000. At 17K I could buy a few new commercial machines and, lease a shop for a year, pay my electric and water, advertise, and I would only need one more job like that for the whole year.
I would spend most of my time fishing.
