I met him when I was a bouncer at the Rhythm Room in Phoenix Az. He did not play but he gave me a schooling. I did not realize he was the soul behind some of the best surf rock ever, and in my ignorance I kinda disrespected him, till he told me who he was. That was back around 1995. I hope he understood how sincere my apology was.
