The enormous power of QE2 is apparent here as she heads south through rough seas in the Bay of Biscay in July 2008. I captured this sequence by leaning out of one of the opening windows on One Deck aft (near the swimming pool) and keeping a very tight grip on the camera as it was buffeted by the wind.
We came south down the North Sea with heavy weather on the stern having left Bergen late because the wind had pinned her against the jetty for 8 hours. It was just like this and one of my best memories of this ship.

Spare a thought for the crew living on 5 and 6 decks aft with horrendous living conditions what with the noise and vibration from the engines.... makes me wonder how i still have some hearing left...the asbestos exposure will probably see me off in the end...aww but i wouldnt change my time aboard..God Bless the QE2 and all those crew members who sailed on her.
