Another World 1964 Opening Theme

For soapfan770, this is the original opening to Another World. Sorry for the poor quality. The video was pirated from a TV archive. I was not the culprit, but I applaud him. The organ theme is by Clarke Morgan. The announcer is AW's beloved Bill Wolff.

Days of our Lives 2:00 Eastern/ 1:00 Central

The Doctors 2:30 Eastern/ 1:30 Central

Another World 3:00 Eastern/ 2:00 Central

so the circles in the the logo go back to the beginning. those graphics look like a toy i had. you stuck a pencil in a circular plastic thing and rolled that inside another circle to make patterns. a spirograph.

Just wonderful. I get tingly when I think back to this time in daytime before I became a fan that paved the way for all my enjoyment that came later down the road. I applaud all those people who created all of this for all of us -- regardless of when we, the viewer, came aboard...

@streetcarjay I watched it too in Buffalo (Tonawanda) with a bottle in my mouth at first,

my mom was into AW & Days of our lives & Jack lalanne ,these soaps are on when I was in for my afternoon nap, I could hear it from my room. Sometimes I could come out & watch, if I was very quiet ; ) I think these shows were the reason for the "naps"

The title of the soap was a nod to sister soap As The World Turns (hence the play on words). Irna Phillips once envisioned a spin off to the original ATWT yet couldnt get the greenlight from the network for the characters to interface from one show to the other (even though both shows were produced by P&G, AW was on NBC and ATWT on CBS). Phillips tackled such hot button social issues of the day like abortion, adulterey, and murder.... all in the first week of its premiere.

My Mom was a regular viewer of Another World Since its beginning to end. I remember watching it with her on certain days growing up in Toronto.
