Recorded at Cornerstone '94. Some of the camera work is not the greatest due to too many people standing on chairs and such. It made it hard to get a good view at times. It does improve as song goes on. Anyway, great song from a great band.

"More"

Oblivious to some things more in store
And when I wept I knew not what
or when or why what for
Is this earth so great though it will not last
Through crashing walls what stands is
one good thing one way one chance

And glimmer shining up and through the floor
Will run and hide and fade
just like He said it would before
And now my head is really spinning fast
I lived it all for me
and now it simply moved right past

Seeing, revealing
More is here today
Distance, no wisdom
I pushed true life away

"Wonderful" have I missed and I ignore
And "terrible" was my word
and was my life I became poor
Self was in my hands and then it passed
I'm left with picture perfect thought
of what we think we have

Imagine when I found I'm no savior
Imagine when I knew and saw
and fell before the Lord
Myself none of any good my world crashed
I lived it all for me
and so it simply moved right past.

  • The song that changed me.

  • @fractured2714515 awesome. POL's music had a big impact on me, as well. They were always on my must-see and listen to list. I remember often lamenting that more people weren't turned on to their music. Just curious about your story, in what way this song changed you.

  • @RiChEiGsTi I spent last few years searching for real grunge(like Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, etc) from real christians(not from good guys that are on christian label). But all i found was alternative rock or music like Hillsong. I even thought, christian do not play grunge cuz it's too much freedom in it. And then I heard this song... why didn't I search between Seattle 90-s bands before?)))) This song is really in traditions of THAT GOOD OLD GRUNGE))

  • @fractured2714515 right on, man.

  • @RiChEiGsTi so it is like small but the most significant piece of christian music puzzle for me. Christians can play grunge and they can do it great! And you know Hillsong-like musicians make music like they are angels. Like angels to God=) Music of POL is music from men to God, it's more sincere=) I can talk for hours about these things, POL's music touched me deep=) I wrote letters to Scott and Jesse by e-mail, to say thanx, but seems like their emails don't work=(

  • One of my favorite Christian alt. rock songs

  • Cornerstone '94? Aha, awesome! I've been going for the last 5 years and this is really entertaining to see. I'm really curious about how it was back then.
