@Codarsnacht I read the treaty and it is written in plain English. If you can't understand legislation then you shouldn't vote on it.
-
Someone who speaks English will be able to READ it but not understand it. It is written for EU Lawyers. The ordinary citizen can read this, but not understand what it means in context and conjunction with the other treaties. If you continue to suggest otherwise than you are clearly ignorant of the Lisbon Treaty, For example:
-
@Codarsnacht The Lisbon treaty is written in clear English. Anybody can read it and anybody who can read English can understand the treaty. Sorry, but ignorance is no excuse.
-
I've actually studied Politics and Law and have read the text. Obviously you've never even seen the Treaty as you should know that you need to read it in conjunction with several other EU treaties. The Lisbon Treaty is written purely for EU lawyers to understand, so your notion of reading and engaging with the text without assistance is completely unfounded.
-
@Codarsnacht If you can't understant the treaty without help from anybody else then you should refrain from voting.
-
You need to be a lawyer to understand it!
-
Just google the treaty of lisbon. It is published online, so you can read it.
-
Yeah the Irish are complete eejets lol
Voted no on this the first time and will do so again the second time.
It's still hard to get "Facts" on the lisbon treaty and I don't trust the local politicians to tell me the truth.
