exactly...and thats what you will remember when thinking of Bear Grylls. Actions speak louder than words. I can't think of one thing I have learned from Bear when I stop and think about the hours Ive watched him except those things u mentioned. I always remember what Mears teaches and Stroud.

Bear Grylls is fun if you want to see a man wrestling crocodiles, fending off grizzlies using only a spoon, or perhaps jumping naked off a glacial cliff into freezing waters during a blizzard.
Mears is better for seeing what you could realistically do in the wilds and he teaches a lot of useful things.
I prefer Mears but I like Bear too for the reasons above, and don't see why they should be versus each other.
