  • how to get the P-Bass sound? is very good!

    is due to the strings?

tell me how you do ... I have a J-Bass and I want to sound like this, it's beautiful... :D

  • @Juanchochespire I did clean out the strings soaking them in alcohol to restore the sound. To make the J-Bass sound like a P-Bass, mute (turn down the volume) on the bridge pickup and full volume on the middle pickup.

  • Bass sounds awesome. You are playing one note wrong on the chorus (2nd fret instead of 3rd fret) but overall sounds very good. What are you playing through? Sounds like you have some compression.

  • @1612HavenhurstDrive Thank you! I didn't use any compression on the sound lol. But it does sound like it.It was about a year ago that I realized that I have been playing the wrong notes on the chorus all this time lol.

  • im going to try that "denatured" alcohol trick haha. . hope it restores my strings' brightness

  • Go to the F# instead of the G on the chorus. Good job otherwise.

  • the strings gauge is 45-105 rite?

Is it heavy? I'm currently using 40-95. Would it be a good idea if I change to 45-105?

  • Sold on the hybrid Slinkys! :-)

  • Very nice! thats a fine bass you have there.

If you don't mind giving you a piece of advise: try using your pinky finger a bit more. Shure, here you don't have a problem playing, but when you get into more complicate stuff, all of your fingers are indispensable.

Try going 1-2-3-4 (each fret a different finger) on all strings, and also 1-4-2-3 and every combination you can think of, just be sure to use your pinky and you'll develop a lot of pinky-strenght

  • the chorus is wrong
