Houston from http://Aycardo10.com/ made this video on New (Late 2011) Quad-Core i7 MacBook Pro Unboxing (15-inch Core i7 2.2 GHz)

Apple might say we're in the post-PC era, but hey -- turns out they still make Macs in Cupertino, and the new MacBook Pro is actually one of the more aggressive refreshes in the machine's history. Not only has it been less than a year since the last MacBook Pro spec bump, but our 15-inch review unit is actually the first Sandy Bridge system we've received from any manufacturer. And it's not just the CPU that's new: Apple's also launching the new Thunderbolt high-speed interconnect, and there's been a big switch to an AMD Radeon HD 6750M GPU paired with Intel's integrated HD Graphics 3000, an arrangement that should offer both solid graphics performance and great battery life. That's a lot of new parts in a familiar case -- but do they add up to something more than just a speed bump?

  • how come u didnt get lion preinstalled? u got the older version

  • @randomrazr Because it came out in February and Lion hadn't came out back then. And no it's the newest model.

  • @aycardo10 oh so this unboxing is from february?

the newest model has lion pristalled, and the only new physical changes are the f3 and f4 keys are changed to open misison control and launchpad XD

  • @randomrazr Yeah my Macbook pro didn't came from the Apple store or online because I don't have any interest in Apple's warranty so we picked it up from best buy and that was about a week ago when Lion had just came out but I can asure you that it is the latest model.

  • That thing is nowhere near "a beast." A quad-core i7 with 4G of RAM is nothing nowadays in a laptop. The laptop I am typing this on is over a year old and has a quad-core i7, 8G of RAM, dual hard drives in a RAID 1 array, two high-end graphics cards, etc. I'll bet you paid WAY too much for that overpriced unit.

  • Looks like every other mac. Boring and over priced.

  • If i was saving for two years i would get the $2200 model, or just get a car.

  • a beast? like 500 gb hdd and 4 gb ram? isnt that standard? mine has 258GB SSD and 8GB ram now that one is fast I can assure you

  • dear mr i just got a 15" macbook pro and i am also new to mac i got the 2.4 ghz quad core I 7 and boot in 4 sec flat

  • @aycardo10 The applecare warranty is applied for 1 year anyway, it doesn't matter where you buy it. You'll have interest in the warranty when you go in there in 1.5 years and they want to charge you $900 to repair your logic board. Good luck!

  • My delivery (mbp15 late2011) is still in Shanghai. Need it!111

  • i got the maxed out early 2011 17" MBP and it screams with power!, however if any of you are choosing between imac or mbp, then consider some of the folowing.. is it really mandatory it has to leave your suite/bedroom, do you need power over portability, bigger screen size for the buck. okay if you answered No, Yes, Yes. then go with iMac, much more power if your hardcore gamer, editor, or producer

  • The early 15" sucks so much in comparison with the late one.

  • I dont think it's the Late 2011. See the box LOL
