Due to 70013 'Oliver Cromwell' managing to get a cracked firebox LMS pacific 6201 'princess Elizabeth was to cover for the britannia and is seen here departing from Didcot Parkway for Tyseley Warwick Road via the 1in37 lickey incline where GWR 0-6-0 pannier tank no.9600 would be waiting to push the midland engine and its 9 coach special up the bank and produced spectacular effects as they climbed up it. The tour was run by Vintage Trains wgo are based in the Birmingham Railway Centre.

  • @TopGearFan09 no i live in Stockport i had gone down to Banbury to see my gf but around mid day-ish she didnt feel well so i went to Didcot to see this midland excellence
