He is known far and wide as The Lemon Drop Kid because of his fondness for that particular round, yellow confection. When the Lemon Drop Kid, Bob Hope a small time hustler accidentally steers the girl of gangster Moose Moran, Fred Clark away from a winning bet at the horse track, the Kid is forced to come up with $10,000 to repay the angry Moose Moran. Fortunately for The Kid it's Christmas, a time when people can be persuaded to part with money for the right cause.

Thank you VERY, VERY, VERY much for sharing this gem with us!!!!! Sad to say, they don't make movies like this any more - but I had a lot of fun watching it. It isn't just about the leads, but about all of those great character parts, too - and all in the service of a good old Damon Runyon story.
