Steinham worked for the C.I.A., this is a fact that she herself has admitted to. The feminist movement was created because the bankers that run our country realized that they were only collecting taxes from half the U.S. population. In case you didn't know it, your tax dollars are going into the pockets of private bankers. Research The Federal Reserve Bank. You'll find that it's privately owned.

gloria steinem is actually really thin. people like you amaze me and prove that feminism is still necessary. you should really study up on the facts of women's history because that is not what feminism is about at all.

Ouch. If we don't know our history, we're doomed to repeat it. Good for UMass for having Steinem speak, but apparently they didn't get the word out to students why it's important.
