Not really The only reason hes playing for Mexico is because all the money he got... Thats also the reason why his playing wherever he is playing.. Money... Sad but true... It was on espn...

Mexico didn't step in like you say, it's not like we forced him to play for us. Mexico just offered him the chance to play for the nation in which he was born. Nery was always very enthusiastic about playing for his country. I've seen videos of him in Greece saying that he's a proud Mexican.
