  • why would you get fined or jailed?

  • @potatogoat you might get into trouble if you wander off the claim and end up on private property. if you find yourself looking at fence post with purple paint , in Texas this is a "NO TRESPASSING" sign. Always respect private property to avoid legal issues.

  • hey do y'all know if there is any gold in Waco?

  • @TheWardog1234 . I have not heard of any Placer or Lode gold , but if you Google Waco treasure you will see history of people finding lost ingots of silver/ gold near Waco Tx, So best bet is get a metal detector and look for the rest of the treasure.

  • September 25th - 26th 2010 is the next Llano Gold And Gem Rendezvous. This is the best time to meet fellow prospectors and do some panning on the Llano river.

  • well done, what part of the river were yall at.

  • We were Just below the bridge [Hwy16] .The club has access to this part of the river. Make sure you have a valid GPAA card if want to prospect there to avoid getting fined or jailed. If you are local come to one of the meetings or events. just google Llano GPAA to find out more.

  • did you have to get the ok from anyone to be down there?

  • is there gold in austin

  • @rottenrobbie66 yeah i want to but like on lake waco where alot of that kind of stuff is but the ACoE won't allow it, any way i have acreek right behind my house about 20ft below so its pretty deep and i'd bet if anywhere there would be some gold there because its at the pea gravel so that means there was swift water there along time ago

  • @rottenrobbie66 ....Hi, my husband and I are GPAA members from Tomball, TX and we were wondering if the club still has access to that part of the river as there seems to be no mention of it in the GPAA guide. We are planning a trip to Llano and were wondering if we might stop and pan a little. I will also contact the Llano chapter just in case you do not receive this. Thanks, Tracy.

  • Is there any place to pan along the Llano river that's on public land? If not, how can you get a license to pan ?
