@rico925 he fought a few savate matches,he didnt come from that background far as i know.Savate is very minor so the standard would be quite low and titles easily acquired.

@billysue2 People forget Hoost cam from a Savate background too.

It does look like it was unintentional, maybe the match should be ruled a no contest.

@TheMalamut2 I've done the very same thing.

@steve0281 yes u right. the guy moved in.

Shouldn't matter shin or no shin.

Wat chu mean???? if ur a muay thai fighter, u use the bottom half of da shin bone
-
they arent shoes, theyre footpads which only protect your instep for roundkicks.I did tkd for 17 years and within 6 months of thai only ever use the instep to the head, everything else is shin

I agree and I disagree. I agree that savate can be adapted, that the pool of talent is small. But if u learn to kick with your foot instead of your shin and you don't have shoes there will be trouble. U were referencing to the Deker Pennachio fight. Look at it they have taped shoes, this would not be allowed in K1. If u use to kick with the foot and have to change for a kick with the shin all your distances are screwed. U also can't do my favorite the point of the shoe in the liver:).

theres no reason a savate lad shouldnt be able to adapt to any other style of kickboxing.Everything in savate can be used in kickboxing. The reason theres so few lads in k1 is because theres such a small talent pool in savate.Pennachio beat deker so savate can be adapted.
The guy moved in. He didn't mean to use his shin. Accidents happen.

Yes. You can only use your fists and your feet. No knees, elbows, shins, or head butts allowed in Savate.
