Our webmaster explains how to have access to FX-Sounds by using a delay and a chorus pedal. Digitech Delay hooked to Send 2 and run in parallel while the Digitech Chorus is hooked to the Channel Insert of channel 1. Send 2 and the Channel inserts are midi switchable.
Cab is a RL 2x12" with a V30s and a G75T, guitar a Schecter C1 Special Prototype. You can find nice Schecter Protos here: www.drumcityguitarland.com. This one has a Häussel P90 and (now) a BBQ Babybucker. Bridge is Tonepros, Tuners by Grover. Gibson Scale.

  • Is that weird sound at 1:31 from switching to the bridge pickup? Sounds like an auto wah or strange mid shift.

  • @cordanscedo : Yes, thats switching to the bridge and un-splitting the bridge, also YT compression increases the "weirdness".

  • Great overdrive tone!

  • Thanks.

To answer some of the questions here:

The guitar is a Schecter C1 Special Prototype, originally came with 2xP90s, I've replaced both, neck is a Häussel P90s, Bridge is a BBQ Babybucker (which fits into the P90s cavity).

Microphones are a Shure SM57 and a Superlux soandso (generic) into a Mackie thru Firewire into Quicktime on a Mac.

The VH4 does not come with a Footswitch, any midi pedal will work though. I myself prefer those who run off phantom power like Rolls, Nobels, Diezel.

  • Chinese STR EL34s. Since I'm playing at room level, the master is up (10 o'clock) and the channel vols are dimed. Gain full in channel 2, bright on, bass a bit dimed, middle and treble noon, presence full, depth noon.

    Thanks.

  • Would have been great if you explained a little what's going on with the MIDI switching and how to set it up and use it... now it's just a rather pointless sound demo and we see you stepping on a button and that's it.

  • i see you have an axe fx aswell I am tempted by one but dont wanna loose my vh4

  • Is it possable to get tabs for the first clean riff you played ?

  • nice playing i got a columbus to

  • @diezelgermany Ah, I see. Awesome demo by the way! Sounds great.:)

  • VH4 = A+
