Great Video Luc !
Finally we know, that voltage is all that matters in these water sparks !
Great finding !
Keep up the great work.
Regards, Stefan.

I doubt that it is all about the voltage. The cap bank charged to 1030 volts will induce a higher initial output voltage from the ignition coil as compared to the cap charged to 305 volts. The higher voltage from the coil will result in a spark discharge at a higher current but with a shorter period as compared to the other discharge at lower current but longer period.
Both discharges are about the same energy, but the higher-shorter discharge makes for a more impressive bang.

Great video!
Proves that it is all about the voltage :)
Thanks

Hi Stefan,
thanks for looking and the positive comment.

Hello Gotoluc, your videos are great - there's only one comment/request I'd like to make - whenever you start testing, your voice is very difficult to hear and I lose some of what you're saying... otherwise - great work!

Thanks for the comment. What happens is the spark is so loud that the cameras mic auto adjust goes way down. From now on I have to stop the spark to speak.
