  • How can you apply it throughout the day if I have makeup on?

  • It's kinda impossible. That's why I start off w/ a high spf sunscreen. Even though it won't last me all day, at least it will protect my skin long enough for me to drive to school or to work. But for people who don't use makeup or for skin that's exposed to the sunlight, definitely re-apply sunblock. =)

  • For sunscreen, if you are just working or going to school should you reapply sunscreen to your body? This is a great video because I don't want to get sun damage. Also, if your moisturizer in the morning has spf, should you also put on a sunscreen? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks!:)

  • Ideally, you should reapply sunscreen every 2 hours. But that's just a little crazy, I think.... So if you are indoor for most of the time, I don't think it's *necessary* to reapply. I slack off most of the times myself =P. However, if you are about to head out again, reapply the sunscreen 15 minutes prior to sun exposure. If your moisturizer has spf, it should work. Spf 15 shields about 93% of UV light, whereas spf 30 shields about 96%. Hope that helps. =)

  • im black and my friends tell me i shouldn't wear it cause it makes no scene and im like caramel complexion but those who don't wear it just look so old and have a lot of break outs so tell me plz is it abosolutly nessecary

  • Hi fattybatty1, well, it's not *absolutely* necessary. I slack off too.... but UV rays are very very harmful to skin, not just pigmentations and spots, but it can also potential cause skin cancer. I understand that for darker skinned gal, it is harder to get sunburn, although you can't see it, but the damage is there. Maybe you can consider wearing a tinted moisturizer or foundation that has sunscreen effects. Hope it helps. Stay beautiful!

  • Fattybatty1, I'm also black and I DEFINITELY make sure I apply sunscreen, especially to my face.We can still get wrinkles, sun spots, sunburn(which I've had before), and even worse, cancer. Melanoma is the most deadliest cancer among blacks.Although damage doesn't seem too happen as often it does happen. We have more pigmentation than those of a lighter skin tone which gives us a more natural protection. But of course, we are NOT totally immune to the damage so it is important to wear it.

  • Oxybenzone hasn't been proven to cause cancer. On lab tests done on animals, it has proven to damage some skin cells, but look at aspartame. Aspartame causes cancer in rats, yet there hasn't been a case yet of a person getting cancer as a result of consuming aspartame.

Scientific studies are done with potent amounts of the ingredient, to see what happens when you get too much. These studies aren't conclusive for humans.

It's better to wear sunscreen, just in case.

  • Hii, I live in a country that is usually never sunny. In Holland we have either rainy or cloudy weather most of the times. Do I have to use sunscreen everyday? thank you

  • the sunscreen your holding put me in the hospital last week.

i had hives all over my face and neck.. i had this huge contusions on my head.. and face, everywhere..

they had to put me on the ambulance

  • t was very instructive.

  • @frr you reapply the makeup to.

  • is it ok if boys use neutrogena ultra sheer sunblock???? because i just bought about 25 of them body and face and i just saw girls using it

  • @echoli

It's frustrating when people with dark skin are discouraged from wearing spf. UVA rays don't care what color you are, they penetrate to the dermis and cause collagen and elastin to break down which is what makes people look older. UVB is what burns your skin, they only hit the epidermis.

  • and "SPF" really stands for "sun protection rating"

  • watch my video theres allot of things you missed my dear very pretty though.

  • Good idea to cover the tubes! Never thought about that..
