If you travel to meet the Hopi come with humble heart and mind. Do not demand to know sacred things but speak with them as a friend and show them you have released the chaos of the world and wish to understand. The answer you receive will seem too simple and too few words for our complicated ways of thinking.

From the eldest of the initiated to the youngest traditional Hopi, their answer will simply be:

"get in balance"

The "Anglos" travel to the Hopi villages claiming to be the "True Pahana" are wearing upon the patience of tribal elders. Some have demanded Elders come out of the Kiva during sacred ceremonies claiming to have the only possible answer to the prophecies. Those who show such disrespect or are lost in delusion & mental illness or spiritual oppression/possession create more disharmony and are rejected. The one consistent message I did receive from all those I spoke with was that each should pray to the God we believe in for peace and balance in the world, seek peace within ourselves, embrace that life is meant to be simple in nature yet hard in work for work builds strength to endure while simplicity is natures way. Mankind complicates all things and the Hopi was was meant to be a sign of balance in lifes simplicity with nature and fellow man.

The Hopi are a very challenged people struggling to hold onto their own traditions as the newest generation takes to technology and does not wish to follow the old ways. A large part of the population are suffering alcoholism and severe depression, they live not in humble nature but considerably in destitution of more than moneys, but poverty of heart as well. Their society is much like any inner city with violence & disparity.

I was saddened and awakened to all our need.
