  • It's incredible that they were able to do their routine in these behemoths... Definitely speaks of the piloting prowess those guys had.

  • Smoke and Thunder

  • a ballet in the sky...

  • I remember watching these guys in their F-4 Phantoms at the Chicago Boat and Air Show and they where very loud and awesome! Great memories!

  • nice video!! 1971 japan・・・・

  • @otochari thats probably at sea level........those advertised mach #s are at altitude like say 20 -30 thousand feet F-4 maybe you could get her to do mach 1.35

  • As a kid I watched the Blue Angels perform with the F4. I was very lucky to have seen them with the F4 due to them using the F4 for a very short time.

  • This is a first-rate video but I prefer the movie "Threshold: The Blue Angels Experience." Also check out the book, "Phantoms and Angels" which is a comprehensive pictorial history of all the Blue Angels F-4 Phantom teams from 1969 to 1973

  • Name of the song?

  • very nice bit of footage. 1st saw the blue's in '72. i was 8 yrs. quite an impressive experience. the ge j79 engines are much louder than all of the current fighters of today. thank you.
