SUBSCRIBE TO EXCELLENT WORLD WAR II VIDEOS

Very interesting footage from Die Deutsche Wochenschau in 1944. Most aspects of World War II from the German point of view are covered. Most scenes are of genuine combat in the Soviet Union, Italy, the Atlantic and the Western Front. Rare footage of Waffen SS, Panzer troops and Panzer Grenadiers, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine and the common German people are filmed in these extraordinary propaganda films.

Die Deutsche Wochenschau (The German Newsreel) was the sole series of German newsreels from 1940 until the end of World War II. It was usually narrated by Harry Giese (1903-1991).

German Newsreel `944 Part 2 includes:
German resistance on D-Day and inland battles.
Death and funeral of Colonel General Dietl (incorrectly translated as Lt. Colonel)
Excellent of officers and men.
German units in Finland.
Women in the 3rd Reich.
Goebbels speech.
Waffen SS counter-attack in Normandy.
July 20th plot against Hitler.
Albert Speer and arms building.
The German retreat.
Ju-87 Stuka attacks.
Anti-tank fighting in Normandy.
Col.General Kortens funeral

Part 2 is 1:33:00 in duration and is followed by 2 succeeding episodes.

  • there are many faults in the translation... wrong names and missing words...

  • @jackzero99 France hasn't been a superpower since 1812, only US, UK and Russia were at the time.

  • @smoochym France was considered a superpower at the time and had one of the largest and most modern armies in 1940. They lost due to bad tactics. try learning a little history before spouting off stupidity

  • The colonel at the end of the video was a interesting character. The World at War series has a interview with him 28 years after the attempt on Hitler. The guy was still a brain washed non repentant nazi in the early 1970's. There is also a video interview of him yaking about the concentration camps were all fakes and jews were in fact not killed. Thank God most post war Germanys saw this type guy as a ruination for the nation

  • Very Interesting indeed. Good historical narrative.

  • near the end....and still proud of being an asshole !

Honestly, before You're posting a coment on such and Inportant video, take a minute of you time and use those 3 brains cells you've got left, and educate your self. The German Army During the War was the Most toughest and strongest Army the World has seen since the Days of the Old Romans. Not Only Germans served in the HEER ( army) But Americans, Jews, Canadians, french, British, Polish, Russians, and even Muslims, and even a shtload more.
