When Sirhan was in high school he wrote in the margins of his history text book, next to the description of the assassination of the Archduke Ferdinand: "And he will not be the last."

This guy is a little man with no prospects who had long dreamed of carrying out such an act in order to make a mark on history. It's as plain and simple as that. No programmed assassin, no Palestinian terrorist--just a punk with a gun who wanted to make a name for himself.
