AUDIO ONLY. Happy Rhodes - Rearmament - 15 - "Be Careful What You Say" (1986)
Between Ecto and Warpaint, Happy teamed up with Kevin Bartlett for a duo called Bartlett/Rhodes. They played live and made some demos, but never released anything to the public. There are 5 Bartlett/Rhodes songs on YouTube. This is the only one that ever got a proper release. It was a CD bonus track when Happy re-released the until-then cassette-only Rearmament on CD in 1992. According to the liner notes, Happy did everything on this track, so I'm not sure where Kevin Bartlett fit in, but I was told this was a Bartlett/Rhodes track.
Lyrics:
Be Careful What You Say
Come forth now, speak your mind
And believe that what you feel is true
Your age cannot reveal all of you
Good or bad, tell them all
Some may say you cannot hold your tongue
You should not pretend to like everyone
Be careful what you say, what you do
When you show your face
You're never right, let it go
You're much too young to know
And when you feel the need to express
All your views on life
You're never right, let it go
You're much too young to know.
If you must, choose your words
And have faith that you have done the right thing
Your eyes cannot reveal everything
Be careful what you say, what you do
When you show your face
You're never right, let it go
You're much too young to know
And when you feel the need to express
All your views on life
You're never right, let it go
You're much too young to know
