  • Grt vid. Be aware newspaper weed barriers really are too efficient. 18 months after the floods I removed raised garden beds with the nws/ppr barrier, they were in as good a condition as when laid. No worms would have been able to migrate up or down through the newspaper. I will still use newspapers as shown but transplant worms from other parts of the garden into the areas of garden above the newspaper. Also only use max of 5 to 8 sheets of newspaper, for faster decomposition when laying.
