  • @SuperMauricioromero The 717 is essentially a modified DC-9. New wings, new engines, new avionics, new interiors, but otherwise the structure is the same.

  • @SuperMauricioromero Well they do look a like, since you could say that the Boeing 717 is the grandson of the DC-9 (it was a McDonnell Douglas designed plane before they merged with Boeing). The differences is more in terms of technology (cockpit, engines etc)

  • Beautiful footage. :49-:55 in the fast sweep is probably my fav, but the 727 looks great from any angle!

  • A timeless aircraft!

  • Nice nice video.. and very nice aircraft. I love the 70's!!!!

  • @doug9driver I think he was referring to the actual commercial and not the aircraft.

  • :30.. look at that beautiful wingflex!

  • Obsolete? These aircraft flew long and short hauls very comfortably. I'll take a 727 over today's "Regional Jets". ANY day!

  • What was the year this video produced?

it is nice but look very "obsolete".

  • Very nice of you to share this bit of lore from a long valued member of our airline legacy. Really enjoyed it. Thank You!
