Layla came to the GBHS on January 21, 2011. At the time, she was in severe pain due to juvenile glaucoma. GBHS Veterinarian, Dr. Jodi Turner-Bloch, evaluated Layla's condition and determined that it was most humane to remove both of her eyes as she was blind and in pain. After her surgery, Layla came alive! She is one of the happiest, sweetest, most loving Cocker Spaniels the staff at the GBHS have ever met. She has stolen the hearts of all who have met her. GBHS Trainer, Lynn Rachkiss, worked with Layla to help her overcome the challenge of blindness. Layla is doing wonderfully with her new "cane" collar. On February 12, 2011 Layla was adopted and is now enjoying the life of luxury in her forever home.
