Yet Another Dissappointed Nokia N97 User...

Hi you all.

I am a very disappointed Nokia fan because of the Nokia N97. I paid what's close to $800 for this supposedly flagship device, but it was full of bugs and the software is very unstable. It's also very slow all thanks to the below-par RAM. I am hoping Nokia would do something about all these bugs and issues in the latest firmware coming soon at the end of this month (October 2009).

Another thing I didn't mention in the video is the camera lens cover scratching the lens. I took it to phone care here in the UAE and they refused to fix it claiming it was " normal " for the lens to get scratched! They also put the blame on me saying I have to clean the lens from dust, when clearly it is impossible to fully clean the lens.

This is my 6th and probably last Nokia if the firmware doesn't fix these bugs.

Please Nokia save your flagship.. fix the issues, and claim responsibility because you're losing your customers one by one..

@mcericx if u own an N97, u would actually know that this is a normal behavior lol. it happened to me 3 times, one of them the phone had nothing on it. just go stuck, n would turn back on.

does hard resetting delete all your data like gallery stuff? mm i was going to get this but i dont want my money to go down the drain e72 is more reliable?

i think it does. and yeah, all E-series phones are reliable. N series, not so much.

@easy1355 true, this and the N96 were the reasons nokia is in the position its in now. But atm, they are producing fantastic phones. I have the Nokia N9 and its one of the best phones you could possibly use. I also have an iphone, but I prefer using the N9 for every day usage. You have to check the N9 and Lumia 800. Beautiful phones running awesome OSs.

this was the phone that ended Nokia's Reign! the worst phone I had ever bought, and Nokia didn't listen to its customers! and look what happened

I now have an iPhone after being Nokia fans for many years.. and now I can't see anything to go back for!

Too bad man. I got it for $170. didn't hurt too much. I recomend you to used android phones and also to buy them from ebay if possible. I'm planing to get Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro since I'm a QWERTY keyboard aficionado. Also reconemnd you to use GSMArena.com you can look up for phones by their requirements and get what you need.! It looks like such a good phone and when you read about it sounds awesome but when you use it, it's so slow and full of bugs. The 50mb phone memory gets full even if you're saving everything to the 32gb mass memory. Will not be buying nokia again

After years and years of being faithful to Nokia..... the N97 was the 'flagshit' phone that turned me to Apple. Plus their shite customer service and idiots working in their call centre's.. No wonder so many people have ditched Nokia... it hurts, as Nokia are European, and used to the best in the world.. what a fucking symbian shit embarrassment!
