Is the official report given now for the amount of the spill. Swire Shipping will be be find only $1.5 million for the disaster. Only a dozen or so workers with rakes and shovels are cleaning. They have machines that could have stopped it from washing up but they didn't bother. What happened here?

More immigrants. A larger Aussie population means more shipments required to service residents of Australia. More ships coming to Australia means inevitably more chance of oil spills.
