S Beam has some potential as it is essentially an enhancement on Android Beam, which uses NFC to open Wi-Fi direct between two SG3 phones and share data; be it photos, videos, maps, webpages and more.

You have to go to Settings on all phones (new Galaxy phones) and turn on "S Beam" & "WiFi Direct". Then touch the two together. Tap, then hold, then release on the sending phone. Tap on the receiving phone to retrieve. Hope that helps!

The s beam only works for the galaxy s3 and up

S-beam came before Android Beam so it is not an enhancement of Android beam

Does the S Beam feature work for all Galaxies or only the S3?

Thanks - just found WiFi Direct switch in Jelly Bean in SIII upgrade for TM...it's now located within the WiFi menu, also Android beam was buried within the NFC menu...all these change drive me nuts!

no you dont need just download from the google play and then it will work fine
