I want this to be played at my funeral
-
I was raised during the Born in the USA era and I said the same thing! I will say that Bruce articulates American life like it is a still photograph. The imagery that his older music invokes is pure and vibrant. The concepts of life, loss, escape, and growth are universal concepts for which the world can broadly identify with. I have taken non believers to his shows only to see them transformed before my very eyes. It's a remarkable thing to witness!!

When my old Ford Probe GT dies, I'll play this video at it's funeral.
Thank God for past loves, they remind us that it exists, if not in the present or the future, at least it was a blessing and a precious memory.
What better way to cherish a memory? Let's Go Racing In The Street.

The most beautiful song I've ever heard.

I'm Bruce's age, and have been following him my whole life. I have seen shows in each of the decades since he started. This show was to me, the most amazing and emotional performance I have seen. Also, the Blue-ray disc captures what it is like to be at a Springsteen concert better than anything out there, including some pretty good bootlegs. I thought after this performance that maybe this was his last, his final hurrah. But then again, I think he still has a lot to say... long live the Boss.

I just got a tear in my eye.. Long live E Street Band!

Bring on next year!
I love how, if you concentrate enough, you can hear every instrument individually in the outtro. Just how it was meant to be. This song, and this band, is pure poetry.
The only fault I can find is that I saw them four times in 2009, and because I'm only in my early twenties, I won't want to see anyone else live because I'll be comparing them to E Street. Too early to hit the peak of my music life, but I know that they will never be topped.

I want this played at my funeral, what a gorgeous song. If it was just mr Bittan on Piano and the main man on guitar/vocals.......what a send off. What more could you ask for?
