Thank you, this video is really useful.
I'm fairly new to the Chamsys boards and you have made my learning process much easier.
Just wondering: Do you know how to control Haze machines on the board?

Hi James great vid! Is it possible to use an iPad docked onto Alesis IO docking station to run Magic Q and control the PC Wing. How would the connections be, if you mind helping out with this. I am very green yet :-)
Paulucci.

Good day! I am Brazilian and I'm starting to use the software MagicQ Chamsys. Here in Brazil, this software is still not widely known, and therefore all the information I have, are acquired only through the Internet by people of other countries. I would greatly appreciate your help me clarify a doubt. The magicQ accepts some sort of MIDI controller such as control BCF 2000? thanks

@thiagolightmartins Hello! I think you can control the Chamsys software using a MIDI controller when connected with a Chamsys MIDI adaptor - this would allow you to control chases and faders using the BCF 2000 or a similar device. The adaptor is the '0300-0005 MagicQ USB MIDI and Timecode Interface' - there is a lot more information about this on the Chamsys website. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching the video. James.

@samDOESsongs Yes - I think once it can properly transcribe me gibbering away then we all know that it finally works properly!

What spec PC do you use for Chamsys?
samDOESsongs 9 months ago
@samDOESsongs I'm using one of those fancy SONY touchscreens (that's showbiz!) VPCL13S1E, - its only dual core though, but a whopping 8GB of memory - which is of course totally necessary for running Chamsys... Obviously because its really heavy I don't take it out anywhere, we use a fairly modest laptop for running it at events. NEW VIDEO coming very soon with quite possibly the best light show we've ever done since the last one.
