The flute is made of some plastic polymer, even the keywork.

It is a well made instrument with the advantage to be lighter than the metal counterpart.

I will try to record something with a regular sound and post.

@newindbrasil Thanks for the info. I once made a flute out of PVC (pipe, for plumbing) and it actually had a very nice sound as well. No, I don't expect you to play Flight of the Bumblebee or anything like that! I can also hear the nice response of the flute with the beatboxing - has a nice edge to it.
