"Where Sea Winds Blow" (Anamaria/Norrington fanfic trailer)

This is a trailer I slapped together for the fan fic I've been working on, Where Sea Winds Blow.

I think the general plot is pretty self-explanatory from the time line of the clips. It's basically Dead Man's Chest revisited, but Anamaria sort of takes over Elizabeth's role from the movie. Elizabeth is still in the story, but her role and character, this time around, stay a bit more faithful to how she was in The Curse. Or, at least I'm trying to achieve that.

Though I touch on a lot of the stuff going on simultaneously in DMC, the story is primarily about the blossoming friendship and feelings between Anamaria and James. I find this a particularly intriguing to pairing to write about, because falling in love with Anamaria means James is faced with a struggle between his moral roots and his heart. He's been raised with a hatred of pirates and years to return to his post at Port Royal. But with Anamaria in his life, he begins to realize that some things fall into a shade of gray.

Like James, Anamaria also became the victim of a hurricane and lost her crew, ship, and title as Captain. She also is the victim of unrequited love, as she is currently infatuated with Jack Sparrow who sees their non-professional relationship as purely carnal. When she begins to realize that her feelings for James extend beyond friendship, she also feels conflicted and confused. She is unwilling to believe that James will ever return her affections and tries to banish all related thoughts, but finds herself unable to stray.

So, as of right now, this story is still "in production". I would much appreciate any comments on this trailer or the story (or both!). I'd love to get more feedback for this project, so don't hesitate to do so if you have anything you'd like to say.

I don't know why... but i always found the ship a fun possibility. Probably because Norrington and Anamaria are such complete and total opposites. It'd be hilarious to see them do *anything* together, especially run a ship or bicker.

@doraweasley hehe, me too. But you know, as I've written them together I've begun to find that they're really not as different as they seem. I think the way Norrington was portrayed in the 2nd movie is a lot more accurate to who he is inside, rather than the uptight, stoic Commodore. There are still certain differences, like Anamaria being way more dynamic, but I write them both as sarcastic and witty. They're super fun and definitely my OTP. =D

Aaaaaawwwwww. That's so sweet. I always loved Anamaria and got rather upset when she didn't appear in the other movies. I think this pairing is absolutely adorable. Well done with the video.
