@Pwyllugh the host said they do have sex with customers but its rare because if they just have sex with one customer, the customer would most likely not come back. And as a host their job is to keep a girl interested and keep comig back to the host club. If they do have sex with a customer it costs A LOT of money.

What kills me is how people find it amazing that women in Japan don't mind paying for company/conversation, but somehow TOTALLY understand the idea of a man paying for sex. . .>_< Now I love Japan, but it IS still a male-dominated, kinda on the sexist side country (America is slightly better in that department, but that could be debated). So yeah, I can totally see how after a long day, young women (who can afford it) would want to be entertained by handsome young men. Hell, I might try it! lol

I think this is a great idea. It's not like prostitution at all. Lonely women with money in a sexist society need this. I wouldn't mind seeing these types of places in other places of the world. I'm willing to bet loads of guys around the world want to prove themselves to be true gentlemen as well. I certainly do.

@edwebo I watched a different documentary about host clubs in Japan ("The Great Happiness Space") and a few of the interviews said, that yes, they are having sex with the customers. Dunno if they get paid for that as well..
