Minecraft: Fire at Ranger Outpost #14

yeah I couldn't really finish this video the way I wanted to because windows movie maker is freezing up after each little thing i add or remove, its just really frustrating but i wanted to show my friends what was happening to what I've been working on. Its pretty funny but does anyone know how to put out a forest fire by chance? other then single handedly punching each flame out like a kung fu master.

Ever since he sped up the effects of fire (in the same update that made lava set fire to anything it was touching) it's been impossible to put out a fire. You just have to let shit burn.

Also, you can craft a lot faster by putting stacks on the left and stacking the output as you grab it. That is, if you have four stairs in your hand and you click the next four on the craft table output, you will be holding eight in your hand.

@explodingcore yeaah i know about the stacks, when i'm playing recording with fraps my mind goes retarded because alls i think about is all the space on my hard drive its eating, that little clip right there was 3 gigs. windows movie maker compresses it nicely enough though after i'm done.

I think the best way to stop a forest fire is like in real life and that's by creating a fire break, although if its already got severely out of hand instead of just using the axe on the tree's TNT might be better to get it done before it spreads further, i mean that is if you seriously want to stop it ;) usualy its funny to just let it burn minus if your making a lets play and you don't want the scenery/ wood collection to be completely boned... :P

I'm using 3 buckets of water, jump on mountains, pouring water over the fire on the burning logs, recollect the water, repeat. I still have about 1,000 fires to put out T_T I was stupid enough to try and make an infinite lava source next to a tree.... which was by a whole forest.... Luckily it didn't reach my other preserved forest.
