ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, is often spoken of, but it is also the subject of some very common misconceptions.
Dr Jeremy Turk has been working with children and families living with ADHD since the 1980s. In this film he looks at the science behind the disorder, what it is and why it's so common.
Distinguishing the myths from the reality, Dr Turk looks at the evidence, and shows how far we've come in our understanding of the condition.
This video has been produced by Janssen to raise awareness about ADHD and shed light on the science behind the condition. It was recorded as part of a campaign to generate discussion about ADHD and provide an environment of knowledge sharing among parents, teachers, HCPs and support groups.
