I found that caulk will shrink, a wood putty is better ti fill in nail holes or seams or cracks

Covering up Chinese drywall? Lol

I wish you could put a link for the exact caulk you suggest. Hope Depot must have 4000 caulks, silicon, DAP, 3M... Makes it hard to get it right.
Take care.

@TULFO0210 what does the reveal do? Does it just make the molding stand out 1/4 inch?

Great video! I'm trying to install trim/moulding on the family room windows in my house, 4 windows. The problem that I'm facing is the window sill extends out to the left and right about 1.5 inches.
How do I correct this? Should I cut the moulding to fit the window sill .. or should I just cut out the excess sill?
Any suggestions is appreciated.

@KJEboys Hey thanks!
I would trip down to it and then install a piece of trim under the sill horizontal with a 22 degree cut on each side from out to in.
If you try to trim the window out and the sill is too short I would just cut it out and picture frame it like I did in the video. if you feel like shooting a video of it and posting it to me i would be more than happy to help you out!!!

do you caulk where the pine touches the window?

yeah "paintable white caulk". ill make a video in the next couple weeks about how to caulk properly. there are a couple tricks I use to make it come out perfect every time!

Would help to show poor mans application as well. What if you don't have a nail gun? Would you drill a pilot hole then use finishing nails etc.

you dont need a pilot, you can use finish nails and a hammer, then use a punch to get the nails counter sunk (if thats a word). Then the holes will be filled with caulk.
