House of Musical Traditions in Takoma Park, MD (just outside of Washington DC) is a dealer for Weber Mandolins. Here we have Mark Sylvester, one of our teachers, demonstrating the A-style Y2K mandolin. This model features a flat solid spruce top, solid mahogany back, sides & neck, bound ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge w/replaceable saddle and a satin finish.
The Y2K is Weber's "entry level" mandolin, but certainly we're talking about a fine-quality instrument here. It has a simple design but a great sound, and is hand-crafted in Montana with the same quality as Weber's higher-level instruments.
This model has a list price of $1,130. To inquire about availability and price, please contact HMT directly at hmtmail@hmtrad.com or 301-270-9090, or visit our website at www.hmtrad.com.
To find out more about Mark Sylvester, visit www.marksylvester.net. Inquiries on lessons with Mark (he teaches guitar, banjo, mandolin and bass) can be made to House of Musical Traditions.
