It is known that AC/DC actually got their name, off a Sewing machine, one that a sister of the Young Brothers had, and Malcolm found the name, just stuck with it.

they got thier name from the back of like a sewing machine or somthing...i mean it IS an acronym...but not of the band, it just sounded cool. and it stands for alternate current/ direct current.

To an electrician Yes. The Band name isn't a acronym. Its just AC/DC, representing their "electrical Power" they put into their Music, which is completely true.
