Women Shot by LAPD in Dorner Manhunt Gets The Shaft

"The two newspaper delivery women who were shot at during the manhunt for Christopher Dorner will not be getting a new replacement truck as promised by the LAPD, according to their attorney Glen Jonas.

It has been more than a month since LAPD Chief Charlie Beck promised the truck to Emma Hernandez, 71, and her daughter, Margie Carranza, who had been working in Torrance, Calif. before dawn on Feb. 7."*

During the Chris Dorner manhunt, the LAPD opened fire on two innocent women. They weren't killed, but their truck was destroyed with bullet holes. The LAPD promised to replace their truck, so why isn't it happening? Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian break it down.

So true, sadly women only have to defend themselves legally in the UK is a rape alarm which is pointless because it isn't a weapon of self-defense. It's a weapon that makes you reliant on either other people coming to help or scare the attacker.

Those in power only give pepper spray to the police and then only after a training course. Probably thinking thinking everyone will have it and use it like maniacs. Also the criminal has rights but they seem to disregard those of the victim.

That is simply mind blowing. In my area we have 3 cops per 1000 civilians. Best response time for a cop if someone was breaking in, 12 minutes. I mean, you would expect states and countries that have strict gun control would AT LEAST allow women to carry pepper spray or a tazer. I seriously can't comprehend it. Maybe if you ask the bad guy to stop he'll listen, who knows.

In the UK a tazer/pepper spray is classified as a firearm with an automatic 4 year prison sentence. In the hands of responsible people these things save lives especially in the USA, but its the less responsible people that spoil it for everyone.

Sue the ass out of the LAPD take them to the cleaners emotional distress, attempted murder, destruction of property. They tried to pay them off with a truck its laughable and internationally damaged the reputation of the police force.
