FFVII: Crisis Core - Chapter 06 - The Fate of a Monster [Fandub]

Finally, after quite a few long days of editing, I've finished this dub. I wanted to get something substantial on my Youtube account as it has been quite a while, and I know many of the old viewers have long since gone, and it's high time I get my butt in gear.

The focus on this was audio editing and Genesis. Yes, I voiced everyone to challenge myself, but for the purposes of viewing, the voice of Genesis is primary. Zack could have been far better ("we're not monsters you hear me" line was totally crap), Cloud had next to no lines anyway, and Hollander is just a very funny evil fat man voice.

Genesis I tried to give some hints of a foreign tongue, rolling off at the end of some words. He seems to be someone who is well educated, even in the original dub, which I like, he seems quite "worldly?" I'm not sure if it comes through, but plain boring "educated equals posh english" really wasn't appealing. I hope you hear it and I'm not just blowing my own trumpet.

The audio editing. Ehem. Took. Forever. On a random note, I swear Hollander moves the most in terms of footwork in one set. I went around and laid out the sounds for every step...though i may have missed one or two. Music and background noise was fine, yet the clothing movement and the movement of characters themselves seems the most difficult. Especially when you have a lack of resources. Most of the sounds are edited from things you may not think of, Genesis's wing and leather sounds bieng from weird places.


I hope you enjoy this, even though the dub isn't the best, I'm happy at my editing, and I hope it isn't too bad. Adios my amigos!

I really enjoyed the your version of Genesis! I wasn't expecting it! I was surprised when I hear that slight accent but wasn't turned off by it! Nice work! hmm...why do I see Genesis pulling off a British voice? And your Zack and Hollender was fun to listen to as well! ^^ but your Cloud...umm...needs a little more work. no offense. <<;

your are very good a syncing up the voices too! it was very convincing!

I really liked this a lot! Great job with all the voices, and the editing is really impressive. I've done some editing myself, so I know how hard and time consuming it can be. Yours is quite professional-sounding. ^_^

And I like your Genesis, you have the right manner or speaking. I think all you need to do is work on a few things and you could actually sound like Quinton Flynn. But right now, I think your Genesis suits "Genesis" very well.

Zack was cute, and I think the voice still suited him. A young Zack at that!

Well this is really impressive. I like your Genesis, you gave him that sophisticated, kind of haughty tone that suits him well. I would add just a little more age to his voice though, if possible. I actually liked your Zack here the most. Nice energy and tone. Cloud was good in the few lines you had for him, as was Hollander. The characters each sounded distinct and I wouldn't have known it was the same VA. The mixing looks like it was a LOT of work but it sounded perfect to me. Great job! :)
