The game changer... Luckily for Callie - and for all of us - Arizona had some mind-changing (Come to Jesus, as JCap calls it) moments about her future with dr. Torres. I don't really believe this is the end of Baby Gate, but at least they are Calzona again.

It's not so hard to tell when these moments came by - being held at gunpoint or getting an "I don't want kids if it means I can't be with you" must make everyone rethink about some stuff...
Problem is, we never really know what "the stuff" is when it comes to Arizona. So I tried to capture this by making a video from her POV (which is not really my thing).
Don't know if it really worked but do know one thing for sure now: we definitely need more Arizona Insights next season!

Clips: Grey's Anatomy, starring Sara Ramirez as dr. Callie Torres and Jessica Capshaw as dr. Arizona Robbins.
Music: Bon Jovi - Thank you for loving me
I don't own anything, this video is for entertainment only.

  • @popchoc77 Yes, you're right but if you've clocked any of these scenes (like the shower scene being LESS than 2 seconds and maybe why the epi is titled "Blink"?) they are all very short compared with what the heteros get on this show and everything else on network tv. I do believe that the writers have good intentions but I just wish they'd be a bit more...daring... All that aside I think you've done a great job with the pairing of the clips with the music (but then I'm a musician...)

  • @janetbratter1 In the galery, they're watching Derek's surgery (ep 6.07)

  • @janetbratter1 I agree that it isn't very real (esp. when you compare them with other couples) but it seems you missed some moments... cause they HAVE been kinda naked. There was the pizza-in-bed scene, the shower-scene and the Mark-walks-in scene (Callie was naked, Arizona was wearing a tanktop). And there was the one where Callie undressed Arizona in the livingroom (although technically that wasn't JCap).

  • @janetbratter1 Of course I meant to write "all the clothes Callie and Arizona WEAR in bed...not where....ooops....I get so flustered just thinking about them in a more natural state of undress when in bed...BTW the only scene where one of them (Arizona) is wearing something with spaghetti straps so a bit of skin shows...that scene was deleted. Somehow the folks who create these videos found it and it became one of the most popular clips because there was a long (and typically chaste) kiss...

  • @babyirish143 In the aftermath of season 7...."Be careful of what you wish for" comes to mind....

  • @popchoc77 I don't recognize what the scene around 4:12 takes place...?

  • the best of the series and the best lesbian couple I love her are manifique

  • @janetbratter1 Perfect choice of music for these clips. And btw what's with all the clothes Callie and Arizona where in bed? Writers....come on. If you're in the process of normalizing lesbian relationships you might keep in mind that we do occasionally get naked together!

  • Another step in normalizing the lesbian relationship would be to give Callie and Arizona a more realistic sex life. When Callie was "experimenting" with Mark it was much more explicit. The camera was on her face as Mark started to go down on her. There was no disguising what was happening. So far the writers haven't been brave(?) enough with "Calzona". We all like how sweet they are together but let's take things to the next level. Watch the clips. Till now it's been almost all kisses.

  • If the writers want to keep this very popular couple high profile in the series they could flesh out Arizona's history. The show is never going to be another "L-Word". Where GA is breaking ground is in how this lesbian couple is shown as being integrated into the mainstream of the human family (not like in the "L-Word" where lesbians are shown as a separate sub-culture). GA is a step in an evolutionary process. Hope the writers are persistent.
