@TheElevatorChannel I feel your pain, when I moved to my apartment, the boxspring for my bed wouldn't fit in the elevator... so we walked it up 9 floors. Yay. lol.

Thanks for posting this! No wonder you take the stairs most of the time. If there were wheelchair people living there that have electric wheelchairs, the car arrival signal would not be the only thing you would be hearing. People in wheelchairs blowing their horns to get on or off the elevator.

not in my hometown but about 12-15 miles north of where I live in the next town Eastern Kentucky University most of the dorms have three elevators one is three elevators to 20 floors another is three elevators to 16 floors then one is only like 13-14 floors but they are two banks of elevators each bank has two in that building thats all the buildings I had ever been in there

@TheElevatorChannel I think Dover did a full replacement & they were just modded after that.

Dover? 2 elevator for 16 floors is nowhere enough. At least 4. I mean c'mon!

@alpaljl I'll repeat what I said to ElevatingPirate. If this tells you anything, I had to carry all my stuff up the stairs on move in day. Only people on floors 7 and up could use the elevators, and they got a pass that allowed them to use one elevator one time in one direction. On the two move-in days, if you were on 16 and wanted to leave the building, you had quite a climb to look forward to when you got back!

@TheElevatorChannel That sounds completely unfair. Who cares if you need the elevator or not?

@alpaljl Even restricting everyone to one elevator ride, there was still a line to use them. Whoever designed this place was an absolute idiot. This is a BIG building. There are well over 400 rooms in here, each with 2 occupants. Look up Griesedieck hall, you won't believe there are only 2 elevators in here when you see a picture!
