  • I've watched this about 700 times and still crack up when I see the Major-General nearly poking out his eye with the javelin.

  • @gesamtszenario Thanks - you certainly know your Beings Animalculous ..

Your setting of Paramecium swimming to a G&S track was just genius..

    Cheers Sheila

  • RIP Mr. Reed.

  • Yes indeed - a great singer/actor - and from Durham too where I lived.

  • Who Released these on super 8? Would like to find one since John Reed has passed.

  • I released them on Super 8 years ago..then re-shot two on 16mm- thats the two that are up on YouTube.

  • @sheilagraber Thank you, though I won't do another video with G&S music, as it could get my account suspended. While the D'Oyly Carte recording I used is public domain in Germany, it apparently isn't in the US. Ahhh... the joys of international copyright law.

  • You did a great job, I clicked on the link, not expecting much, but then I got a great cartoon with the great John Reed singing! Thanks for posting!

Didn't 2 operettas get recorded on video in the late 70s? Was John Reed still with D'Oyly Carte then - it's pretty likely, and does anyone have these videos? I'd really love to watch him sing as I was only 4 when he quit the company and I live in Canada.

  • Thanks for uploading this. Really cool!

  • great singer and animation.

  • @shibb90 It said 2x+2=12. X being the unknown value. In this case it would be five ;)

  • Brilliant work!

  • 2 things: in the video did it say 2+2=12? and does anyone have a link to the simpsons thing like this with homer and someone else?
