Britney is clinically coping with mental illness.

She has been sick for some time which allowed her life to spiral out of control especially in view of the media and paparazzi that made money off her mental illness actions. The public has stopped making 'Britney jokes' when it became clear she was truly sick. Most people hope she can get well again. Most people are also pointing fingers at paparazzi for invading peoples lives (for a bloody buck!).

America Entertainment News/Showbiz Tonight- AJ Hammer said that for the most part entertainment News people(in America that know the situation)realize Britney Spears was coping with a mental illness an decided to stop the jokes. There is no control outside mainstream American media. There are no boundaries w/some here in America like Sheeraz Hasan (Muslim American Dream) who continue to make money off exploiting people. Really no big deal at all.. it could be done much, much smarter. Right now, the show keeps the notion of celebrity vs. paparazzi immanent within the hermeneutics of the spectacle.

In order to do anything with this idea, other than merely entertain, it needs to break out of the hermetic circle of the politics of spectacle and the process of paparazzi and public consumption of celebrity gossip; it could attempt to be critical of the process, maybe even try to build some literacy.
