LOCATION OF THE TEMPLE: Ayyavadi is located 10 Kms from Kumbakonam and 2 Kms from Thirunageswaram (Ragu Sthalam). It is in Thanjavur District, State of Tamil Nadu, India.

HISTORY OF THE TEMPLE: Shri Prathiyangera Devi Shrine is situated only in Aiyvarpadi. It is located nowhere except in Ayyavadi. Eighteen Siddhars performed pooja on this temple. Almighty showered Her presence to Agasthiar .

There is a small temple with her idol in the Siddhar Peedam in the town of Melmaruvathur-603 319 about 90kms from Chennai.

Good question. The most important thing is that she is far too immense to be worshipped by mere mortals, we can't fully grasp the manificence and power of any god let alone pratyangira devi. She is time, the mother of siva, brahma, vishnu etc. She is the omkaram that vibrates through the unvierse. Only 2 siddhars, after whom she was named, have seen her true form, but she is revealed in other forms such as light, sound and our very souls.
