The plot and way the two main characters act reminds me of I Dream of Jeannie.

Robert Walker was married to actress Jennifer Jones (original name Phylis Isley) but lost her to famous producer David O. Selnick. He died tragically in 1951 at the age of 32. Dick Haymes was a crooner and was married to Rita Hayworth in the early fifties.
